Publication Fee Details

Authors are advised that the Article Processing Charge (APC) for the Al-Zahrawi Journal of Medical Sciences (ZJMS) is 100,000 Iraqi Dinars (IQD) per submission for Iraqi authors. International authors are fully exempt from this charge; publication is completely free for authors affiliated with institutions outside Iraq. This fee applies only after the manuscript has been accepted and successfully passed the rigorous peer-review process.

If your paper is accepted for publication, you will be formally notified and asked to pay the Article Processing Charge to cover the costs associated with open access publishing, editorial management, production, and long-term digital archiving.

When to Pay
Only after formal acceptance following successful peer review. No charges apply to submitted or rejected manuscripts.
How to Pay
Payment is processed securely online through the journal submission portal. Instructions will be provided upon acceptance.
Submission Fee
There are no fees for manuscript submission or for undergoing the peer review process. Charges apply at acceptance only.
International Authors
FREE
No publication fees for authors outside Iraq. Fully waived to support global research.
International Authors: Authors affiliated with institutions outside Iraq are fully exempt from the Article Processing Charge. ZJMS waives all publication fees for international authors to promote global scientific participation and knowledge exchange.
Fee Waiver Requests: Iraqi authors experiencing genuine financial hardship may apply for a partial or full fee waiver. Waiver requests must be submitted to the editorial office before or at the time of manuscript submission and are evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
