Peer Review Process
Al-Zahrawi Journal of Medical Sciences
Submissions to Al-Zahrawi Journal of Medical Sciences are evaluated by the Editorial Board and undergo external assessment through a double-blind peer review process, whereby the reviewers do not know the identity of the author(s), and the author(s) do not know the identity of the reviewers.
Revised Version Submission
After completion of the peer-review process, the manuscript will be returned to the authors for revision together with the reviewers’ and editors’ comments. The revised manuscript should be submitted either by email or through the online system in the same manner as an initial submission.
When submitting a revised manuscript, authors are requested to include the reviewers’ remarks together with a point-by-point response in a separate file. In addition, all changes made in the revised manuscript should be clearly indicated using underlined or colored text.

Proofs
The journal provides gallery proofs for final corrections after the acceptance of articles for publication. No hard copies are provided, as the journal follows an open-access publication policy.
Responsibilities of Reviewers

Reviewers must notify the editors if the topic of the article does not match their field of specialization, in order to avoid unnecessary delays in the review process.

Reviewers must not disclose any information related to the content of the articles to any unauthorized party.

Reviewers should provide clear recommendations and decisions supported by appropriate academic arguments.

Reviewers are expected to examine the relevance, accuracy, and appropriateness of the cited references and supporting materials used in the manuscript.

Reviewers should avoid accepting review assignments where any conflict of interest may arise.
